FAQs - Pool Tiles & Spa

How do I choose the right pool tile for my pool?

When choosing pool tiles, there are several factors to consider. Some of the main factors include safety, durability, attractiveness, and budget. You should also determine which part of the pool you want to tile: the waterline, underwater, or both. Generally glass pool tile or porcelain pool tile, are used to decorate the swimming pool as a waterline with a height not exceeding six inches.

Another factor to take in consideration is the weather. Pool tiles need to be frost-proof due the extreme weather conditions. Either when the tiles are frost-proof they need to be installed with expansion movement joints, otherwise they may crack.

Besides frost-proof, glass tiles for swimming pools must be able to withstand heat and chemical use. The tiles listed on this catalog are rated for swimming pools.

For installation purposes we recommend to use the proper adhesives materials, and prevent the tiles from cracking creating expansion movement joints.

Pool tiles come in different sizes, colors, patterns, and materials. Some popular materials include porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, and glass. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages.

It's important to focus on quality instead of price when choosing pool tiles. High-quality tiles are worth the upfront cost because they are durable and low-maintenance. You should also consider the style of your home and the color scheme you want to use in your pool area.
